Kryvbas refused Shakhtar to postpone the match of the 17th round
Vice President of Kryvbas Artem Gagarin commented on the match of the 17th round of the UPL against miner (0:3) and named the reasonaccording to which the Kryvyi Rih club did not agree to postpone this game at the request of the Pitmen.
“Before the first goal, it was still more or less. Shakhtar opened the scoring: a phenomenal shot, a phenomenal goal. There would be more such goals scored by Shakhtar in European competitions, and then it would be cool for all of us. We are very grateful to the opponent for coming to Krivoy Rog.”
“Today everything was really on the sports principle. Shakhtar defeated Kryvbas. They have plus three, taking into account those plus three that we earned them in the match against Dnipro-1. I think this is a good start for the Pitmen for the championship.”
“The only thing I want to say is that we are here today, we played in Krivoy Rog. Our game was watched by our 15 dead boys. This game was for them. It was very important for us to play at home, in Krivoy Rog. And with this match we are proving to everyone what is already in our heads. We show that Russian that is now on our land what awaits them.
Kryvyi Rih residents did not want to postpone this match, which took place between Shakhtar’s matches in the Europa League. As a result, before the game in Krivoy Rog, Shakhtar spent more than 15 hours on the road.
The victory over Kryvbas allowed Shakhtar to single-handedly lead the standings of the Ukrainian championship. The miners, having scored 39 points, are three points ahead of Dnepr-1, which is in second place. In the next round on March 19, Shakhtar will host Rukh in a nominally home match.
