Guardiola: Yes, we are Champions League favorites. But the reality is that we still have 95 minutes to go against Leipzig

In the first match of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League, Man City and Leipzig drew 1: 1

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola commented on the forthcoming second leg of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League against Leipzig.

“I agree that at the beginning of the season we were called the main favorites in this tournament. But the reality is that we still have 95 minutes to play against Leipzig and they are a really good team. They have many qualities, many strengths. We have to impose our game and we have to win.”

“Leipzig are very aggressive at high pressure and have incredible confidence from their goalkeeper. Eight players in the center, two incredible cornerbacks. You close the center and they come to you through the flanks. It’s really hard to control, we have to find the right pace to press.”

Recall that in the first match Leipzig at home played a draw with Manchester City (1:1). Guests opened the scoring in the first half – Riyad Mahrez scored. Leipzig managed to level the score after the break – Joshko Guardiol scored.

Manchester City vs Leipzig will be played today, March 14th. The start is at 22:00.
