Joe on Anthony’s decision to change coach before rematch with Ukrainian
British heavyweight Joe Joyce shared his expectations for the rematch Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua. He also spoke about AJ’s collaboration with the coach Robert Garcia.
“I think it’s a good stylistic clash because Joshua needs to come out and fight Usyk this time. Let’s see if he has time to make the changes that Robert will give him. [Гарсия]. It takes time to adjust and become familiar with new technology. Then you need to show it in sparring and fighting,” said Joyce.
“How much is left? Six weeks? Let’s see if Joshua can make actual changes and see what happens.”
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua is scheduled to take place on August 20 in Saudi Jeddah at the Jeddah Super Dome arena. Previously, the most likely date for the rematch was called July 23.
Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become the new WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion.
