Argentina game tickets sell out in a few hours

With just two hours on sale and more than 1 million fans in the queue, tickets for Argentina’s match against Panama were sold out

This Thursday, the 16th, ticket sales were opened for the first friendly match of Argentina after the title of world Cupagainst Panama. However, in just two hours, sales stopped as tickets sold out. The confrontation takes place on the next 23rd, at the Estádio Monumental by Nuñez.

Ticket sales were attributed to a virtual queue, which numbered fans as they connected to the site”deportick”. At one point, more than 900,000 potential buyers were registered. Later, it increased to 1 million and 400 thousand. Despite the recent renovation, the capacity of Monumental, River Plate’s stadium, and no other in the world, would support this audience.

In addition to the difficulty of being selected to buy tickets, the Argentines complained about the system provided by the site. Amidst the sales, some fans claimed that they came close to acquiring the tickets, but received a message that said: “Your stay time has expired. You have to login again”.

Although the sale took place digitally, the lucky ones who bought the tickets will have to pick up the physical tickets. There are even several mechanisms to ensure that entries are not falsified. In terms of values, the general price was 12,000 Argentine pesos, equivalent to R$ 309, at current exchange rates.

According to what was determined by the “hello”, Argentine newspaper, the event will not be limited to just the first match after the Albiceleste is crowned three-time world champion. There will be concerts and presentations before, during and after the game. In this sense, the AFA sent a message to the fans, asking them to arrive early at the Monumental de Nuñez.
