Corinthians fans lose patience and invade CT Joaquim Grava

Corinthians fans lost patience with Fernando Lázaro’s squad and invaded CT Joaquim Grave; protest was also directed at Roberto de Andrade

The crowd of Corinthians invaded the CT Joaquim Grava during the morning of this Friday, the 17th. The organized “Gaviões da Fiel” managed to break through the blockade of the bars and enter Timão’s training center. According to information released by “ESPN” and also by “Jovem Pan”, there was no type of aggression and some tracks were inserted at the scene.

The main one protested against Roberto de Andrade, current director of Football at Corinthians. He was once president of the club, but has a past full of controversies with Timão’s main organized fans. In the banner that was placed on the CT Joaquim Grava, “Gaviões da Fiel” asked: “Out, Roberto de Andrade“.

It is worth noting that the Corinthians board had scheduled a meeting with the fans, but the option was to invade the training center. Timão’s main organization made a hole in the grid and entered the place to protest. In addition to asking Roberto de Andrade to leave, the crowd also criticized the cast with another banner after the elimination in Paulistão: “incompetent cast“.

Corinthians, it is important to remember, is going through a period of adaptation after the departure of Vítor Pereira. The club bet on Fernando Lázaro for the 2023 season and this is the professional’s first opportunity as a coach. He ranked Timão with the fifth best campaign in the Campeonato Paulista, but faced Ituano and fell in the quarterfinals.

Amidst the protests of “Gaviões da Fiel” and the elimination in Paulistão, Corinthians is in a period of preparation. With no championship to play until the beginning of April, the team will have another three weeks to find themselves again and return in the best possible shape for their debuts in the Libertadores and also in the Brasileirão. Timão should return to the field on the 5th or 6th, but is waiting for the Conmebol draw to find out who will be their rival and what day they will play.
