Zinchenko is the best in his position in the world according to the British edition

Journalists in Foggy Albion highly appreciate Ukrainian talent.

The English edition of FourFourTwo has published its list of the best left-backs in world football.

Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko also made the list, but he not only made it, but topped the list.

“Mikel Arteta seems to have replaced Zinchenko in the midfield, but Oleksandr has developed as a left-back this season. Rebounding the ball from deep and passing it into central zones, the Ukrainian is able to dictate the game with excellent passes, as well as providing a solid base from which Arsenal can defend.

His stats are also misleading. Just one goal and two assists would seem to suggest that he is not that important to Arsenal, but that is not the case. Zinchenko plays between the lines and perfectly delivers the ball to Martin Odegaard, who then passes it to Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. Without Zinchenko, there would be good reason to believe that Arsenal would not be in the position they are in today.

The top three included players from Manchester United and Milan – Luke Shaw and Theo Hernandez, respectively.

The best left-back in the world

  1. Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal)
  2. Luke Shaw (United)
  3. Theo Hernandez (Milan)
  4. Andrew Robertson (Liverpool)
  5. Alphonso Davies (Bayern)
  6. Nathan Ake (Man. City)
  7. Ferland Mandy (Real Madrid)
  8. Jordi Alba (Barcelona)
  9. Nuno Mendes (PSG)
  10. Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)

Recall that Zinchenko was recently recognized as the author of Arsenal’s best goal following last month’s results.
