Munich Sports Director bavaria Hasan Salihamidzic told how the negotiations took place with Robert Lewandowski after the Pole admitted he wanted to leave the German club.
“Lewandowski called me on Monday. Among other things, we discussed his public comments. And I clearly explained to him our position on his contractual situation. The club’s management has spoken several times about his desire to leave the club, so I would like to leave everything as it is and say nothing more,” said Salihamidzic.
At the same time, Bayern Munich are again defending their position that Lewandowski is still under contract until mid-2023 and must remain at the club to fulfill the deal, regardless of his desire to leave the club.
