Ruslan Rotan gave an official press conference before the friendly and official match in London.

The acting head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Ruslan Rotan, attended a press conference on the eve of a friendly match with Brentford.

The Ukrainian specialist spoke about Mikhail Mudrik’s adaptation to London’s Chelsea.

“Mikhail is a talent. The full potential he has to show is yet to be seen. I am sure that in a few months he will be in the Premier League in key roles. Now he is motivated, he really wants to play at Wembley. Such diamonds must be cared for, trusted. “They need to feel that they are no longer important for the youth team, but for the national team. Also for Chelsea. That’s the motivation that should give him confidence.”

Rotan spoke about the importance of fighting England in the selection for Euro 2024.

“The Wembley match is a match of the country, not just the players and coaches. I want to thank the people of Great Britain who support the war that our country is fighting. Let’s call it the enemy, because there is probably no other name .Support is important for us We thank you.

This is a fight for our warriors and warriors who stand. We understand very well that what is happening in Ukraine is very scary. Boys should, first of all, be motivated, we should make them happy in the game and as a result, give hope to the country. To provide emotions that are lacking in our people today.”

The mentor noted the support of Ukrainian fans in the UK.

“We are counting on patriotic people to support us. For us, every support is important. The match at Wembley will be in a friendly atmosphere, but there will be a big battle on the field. Both football and people who coming to support us Ukrainians as a nation will benefit from this.”

Rotan mentioned the Ukrainian representation in the English championship.

“Zinchenko, Yarmolenko, Zabarny, Mykolenko are professional and emotional people. They strongly support the country in all areas. They are very motivated. They are leaders for our team, for young people . They are an example for all people, all athletes who look up to them “I think there should be more players. I will be happy if our players join Premier League clubs in the future. It will be very good for the national team, I like it.”

Zinchenko? Alexander’s intelligence is the main development of our team and football. Football is better when there are players with Zinchenko’s level of intelligence. It’s incredible, to be honest. I always like these players. If there were more of them, football would be better and more diverse. For the audience, it becomes amazing.”

The Ukrainian coach assessed the chances that Mudryk could play as a center forward.

“I think this question is probably more for the match. Tomorrow we have a friendly meeting with Brentford, where we have to look at the main connections, the condition of the players, their understanding of the game . And then draw conclusions and prepare for the game with England. I can say that everything is possible. Mikhail can play there, he has the qualities of a center forward.”

Rotan spoke about the injuries to the national team.

“Regarding the health of our players, Zabarny is injured and not ready for the match. We talked with the doctors of the Ilya team and decided that he will not be available in this game. Regarding Yarmolenko, he has injuries , he is not training in the main group. “But everything is possible, there is still time before the match. Maybe Andrei is ready. Sidorchuk and Tsygankov have a slight cold. I think one day and everything will be fine. So far, these are our problems now.”

Remember that tomorrow, March 23, the Ukrainian team will play Brenford. On Sunday, March 26, the Ukrainian team will play in England as part of the selection for Euro 2024.
