20-year-old Ukrainian became one of the leaders of the team
Defender of the Ukrainian national basketball team Alexander Kovlyar extended the contract with the Estonian club Kalev/Kramo. The agreement is signed for the entire next season.
The graduate of Khimik moved to Kalev/Kramo last summer from Tartu. In the Latvian-Estonian League, where the club entered the playoffs from second place, the Ukrainian played an average of 23 minutes, during which he scored 12.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists. 20-year-old Kovlyar is the best scorer and team assistant in LEBL.
Also, as part of Kalev/Kramo, Kovlyar reached the semi-finals of the FIBA Europe Cup. In this tournament, the Ukrainian plays an average of 20 minutes, during which he scores 9.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
Recall that in February, Kovlyar made his debut for the Ukrainian national team in the qualifying match of the 2023 World Cup against Italy (75:85).
