Finnish businessman Zilliakus made an offer to buy Manchester United

He wants to share control of the club with the fans.

Finnish businessman Thomas Zilliacus made an offer to buy Manchester United.

Zilliacus plans to split the club’s assets – he intends to acquire half of the shares, giving the second part to sell to fans. Thomas is Chairman of the novaM Group, a social media company. Also, Zilliacus now owns the Jokerit hockey club.

Recall that British businessman Jim Ratcliffe is also interested in acquiring Manchester United. Businessmen from Qatar are also preparing to implement their proposal.

Sources say the US owners are optimistic about selling the club for £6bn. It was previously reported that not everyone in the Glazer family wants to make a deal.

Earlier, the board of directors of Manchester United announced the sale of the club in whole or in part through large external investments. Manchester United owners American businessmen Glazers expect to finalize the deal in the first quarter of 2023.
