Australia beats UAE to play Peru for 2022 World Cup qualification

The Australians scored the decisive goal six minutes before the end of normal time

In the final selection for the 2022 World Cup from the Asian Football Confederation Australia won UAE with a score of 2:1.

The first half of the match ended without goals scored, and in the second half, Jackson Irwin opened the score for the Australians, to which Cayo Canedo Correa answered with a goal scored by the United Arab Emirates.

As a result, the winning goal in the Australian national team six minutes before the end of regular time was scored by Aidin Khrustic.

On June 13, Australia will play a decisive match in the fight for a ticket to the World Cup when they meet with the national team of Peru. A day later, New Zealand and Costa Rica will play the last place in the World Cup.

In the event of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, Australia will play in the same group with France, Denmark and Tunisia.
