President of Russia Vladimir Poutine instructed the Government of the Russian Federation to take measures to simplify the use of football fan identification systems by citizens, mainly the disabled, pensioners and children.
The deadline to complete the assignment is May 1. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and chief executive of the autonomous non-profit organization Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects Svetlana Chupsheva were named in charge.
“The Government of the Russian Federation, together with the self-governing non-profit organization Agency for Strategic Initiatives to promote new projects, should take steps to simplify the use of football fan identification systems by citizens, mainly the disabled, pensioners and children,” the Kremlin’s website said in a statement.
Since the start of the 2022/23 season, the fan card has been mandatory to attend MIR matches of the Russian Premier League at the Ural (Ekaterinburg), PARI NN (Nizhny Novgorod), Rostov (Rostov-on-Don) stadiums, Soviet Krylia (Samara) and Sochi. The remaining arenas joined the project in December 2022.
