Joyce has a fight ahead of Zhang Zhilei
Interim WBO World Champion Joe Joyce sure that his the battle against the WBC belt holder Tyson Fury will be able organize without problems.
“Yes, I am ready to intervene in this situation. First, I have a battle planned with Zhang Zhilei – this is a large-scale battle – so I will conduct it. Fury said he wanted to fight me if he didn’t fight Usyk. I agree, but first I will beat the great Zhilei.”
“A fight with Fury would be very easy to organize. We both have promoter Frank Warren. Tyson already said that he wants to fight me, it will be a great fight. People will be interested to watch this fight.”
Fury plans to fight his next fight this summer. Joyce is very likely to become Fury’s opponent if he can defeat Zhang Zhilei earlier. The fight between the Brit and the Chinese heavyweight will take place on April 15 in London.
Joyce knocked out Joseph Parker in his last fight to become the interim WBO heavyweight champion. After defeating the New Zealander, Joyce challenged the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk to fight.
Fury’s fight with WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has been officially cancelled. Oleksandr’s manager Egis Klimas stated that the Gypsy King’s team demanded too much, no matter how much Usyk compromised.
