“Agalarov will play everywhere. If there is a European option, we have to go” – Stukalov

Former head coach “Ufa” Alexei Stukalov called the teams that best suit the striker Hamid Agalarov but noted that if possible he should go to Europe.

– Agalarov has an incredible achievement – and, most importantly, he kept it all season. Why?

“First of all, he is a born goalscorer. He has these qualities: a sense of position, an understanding of where to be at the right time. His goals are almost always one or two touches away. Quickly understand the moment. Second, we built the Ufa game based on its qualities. We understood that if he received the ball outside the penalty area, he would become less effective. Therefore, we focused on delivering the ball into the penalty area. If you take the statistics, as far as I remember, we are third or fourth in this indicator [в РПЛ]- said Stukalov “”.

– Did Hamid’s behavior change when he started scoring a lot and all the media wrote about him?

– He hasn’t changed at all. For this he is honored and praised. It is not subject to such excesses, well done. How is he in life? Very determined, disciplined, positive. Always wants to be on top – it captivates. Well, hard work. I haven’t seen a training session where he didn’t give 100%.

– Now, is it better for him to stay in Russia or go to Europe?

– I think that if there is a European option, we have to go there. Why? We don’t have European competitions, and we don’t know how long that will last. The development in Europe will be of higher quality, I think.

– Does his style somehow limit the choice of a new team?

– I think the options suitable for him are Krasnodar, Dynamo, Zenit. Teams that play from a position of strength need such a player. But in general, Agalarov will play everywhere. He has great potential.

Last season, 21-year-old Agalarov scored 20 goals for Ufa in 31 appearances.
