Ukraine failed to qualify for the World Cup
Midfielder Ukrainian national team Ruslan Malinovsky commented on the result of the match against Wales (0:1) in the 2022 World Cup qualification final. According to him, the team was just unlucky.
“Pride in the team, a bit unlucky. But with such a game, dedication, we have a future. Thanks to all the fans who support us. All victories are ahead and not only on the football field. Glory to Ukraine,” Malinovsky wrote on Instagram.
As part of the Ukrainian national team, Malinovsky played 47 matches in which he scored six goals. In matches against Scotland (3:1) and Wales, the Atalanta midfielder came out in the starting lineup of the blue-yellows.
On Wednesday, June 8, the Ukrainian national team will start a new Nations League draw with an away match against Ireland. The beginning is at 21:45 Kyiv time.
