Yasen Petrov announced his resignation as head coach of the Bulgarian national football team

Yassen Petrov resigned as head coach Bulgaria national football team after losing to Georgia in the Nations League game.

The Bulgarians on Sunday in the match of Group 4 of the C league lost at home against the Georgian team with the score of 2-5.

– I do not know what to tell you. Thank you to those who came. It is clear that I have no moral right to stay, I think that we will separate. I take full responsibility. This is my last game,” Gong.bg quoted Petrov as saying.

The Bulgarian team, with one point scored in two matches, is third in the group, behind the Georgians (6) and the team from North Macedonia (4).

Petrov took charge of the Bulgarian national team in January last year. The team failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup finals.
