Draw of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil 2023: see where to watch

This Wednesday, the 29th, at 2 pm (Brasília time), the draw for the third phase of the Brazil’s Cup will be held and the expectation for the definitions of the confrontations is great. It is important to remember that in this part of the competition, the giants that are in contention for the title of liberators will enter to try a vacancy in the round of 16. With that, the defending champion Flamengo and the runner-up Corinthians will be among the clubs that will be entered at this stage of the tournament.

To get an idea, the Copa do Brasil for the third phase will have the entry of the following teams: Flamengo, Palmeiras, Athletico, Atlético-MG, São Paulo, Fluminense, Fortaleza, Corinthians, Internacional, Cruzeiro, Sport and Paysandu. It is worth mentioning that it is not just the clubs that are in the Libertadores that will enter this part of the competition, teams classified through Serie B, Copa Verde and Copa do Nordeste will also compete in the competition from this moment on.

Still in time, it is always good to point out that some important teams from Serie A of the Brasileirão left the Copa do Brasil in the second phase. This was the case with Vasco, for example. Mauricio Barbieri’s team was eliminated by ABC in the middle of São Januário. In addition, Goiás also fell in the last phase, also on penalties, to Águia de Marabá. The 2023 edition of the tournament has reserved some historic upsets for national football.
