Copa do Brasil defines clashes of the 3rd phase; see details

The matches of the 3rd phase of the Brazil’s Cup are defined. On the afternoon of this Wednesday, the 29th, the CBF held the draw for the games at its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, which will be held next April. The clubs were divided into two pots, and the competition gained the presence of the teams classified through the Libertadores, Copa Verde, Copa do Nordeste, Série A do Brasileirão and Série B.

As a result, for the 3rd phase of the Copa do Brasil, the following clubs began to compete for the title of the competition: Flamengo, Palmeiras, Athletico, Atlético-MG, São Paulo, Fluminense, Fortaleza, Corinthians, Internacional, Cruzeiro, Sport and Paysandu. It is worth mentioning that these teams joined the rivals that were in the tournament since the first phase.

Therefore, Nova Iguaçu, Botafogo-SP, Tombense, Santos, Ypiranga, ABC, Náutico, Volta Redonda, Coritiba, Bahia, Botafogo, América-MG, Maringá, CSA, Águia de Marabá, Remo, CRB, Brasil de Pelotas, Ituano and Grêmio also met their rival in the draw for the 3rd phase of the Copa do Brasil. Thus, before the event was held, the CBF divided all teams into two pots.

• Pot 2: Sport, CRB, CSA, Náutico, Remo, Tombense, Brasil de Pelotas, Paysandu, ABC, Ituano, Botafogo-SP, Volta Redonda, Ypiranga-RS, Nova Iguaçu, Maringá and Águia de Marabá.
