Contract until August 2024
Herve Renard officially appointed France women’s head coach. The agreement is valid until August 2024.
Earlier, Renard terminated the contract with the Saudi Arabia national team ahead of schedule.
Recall that the previous mentor of the Le Bleu women’s team, Corrine Diacre, was fired after the scandal, when a number of key players left the team, dissatisfied with the harsh methods of training.
The ex-coach of Lille Joscelin Gurvenek, the head coach of the women’s team of PSG Gerard Precher, and Thierry Henry, who himself refused the offer, were considered for the post of head coach.
Renard will have to prepare the team for the 2023 World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20. Le Bleu will play in Group F with Jamaica, Brazil and Panama.
