The London club does not want to take away the second manager in a row from Brighton
Chelsea does not consider Brighton head coach nominee Roberto De Zerbi on team mentor position.
According to journalist David Ornstein, Chelsea will not take away a second manager in a row from Brighton. Other than that, the 43-year-old Italian is not what the Blues are currently looking for and is not on the list.
Earlier there was information that De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino are the first in the list of contenders for the position of head coach of Chelsea. Also, De Zerbi is considered the main candidate for the post of Inter coach in the summer off-season.
Chelsea have sacked Graham Potter as head coach. The Blues’ interim head coach will be Potter’s assistant Bruno Saltor. De Zerby took over at Brighton in September 2022, replacing Potter.
Chelsea are in 11th place in the Premier League standings. The Blues’ next opponent in the Premier League on April 4 will be Liverpool.
