Pamplonians beat Athletic in the semi-final
Osasuna away draw with Athletic in the second leg of the 1/2 finals Spanish Cup.
In the 33rd minute, Iñaki Williams rounded up Mikel Vesga’s cross from a corner to give Athletic the lead. Until the end of the regular time of the match, the Lions created several more scoring chances, but the home team failed to score again.
The meeting went into extra time as the first leg of the confrontation went to Osasuna (1:0). At the end of the second extra-time, Pablo Ibanez equalized the score. No more goals were scored by the teams.
Thus, Osasuna won the victory on aggregate and for the first time since 2005 will play in the final of the Spanish Cup.
The second finalist of the King’s Cup will be determined on April 5 in the Barcelona-Real match. In Madrid, the Catalans beat the Blancos minimally – 1:0.
