The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) sanctioned the Dutch Feyenoord partial closure of the stadium for a European Cup match for the behavior of fans during the first Conference League semi-final match against the French Marseilles according to the UEFA website.
The meeting took place on April 28 in Rotterdam and ended with the score 3:2 in favor of the hosts. In the return match in France on May 5, a draw was recorded – 0:0. Feyenoord was fined 70,000 euros for the sum of two matches. The club is also prohibited from selling tickets to supporters for the team’s next away match under the auspices of UEFA. This measure applies the suspended sanction of the club dated December 10, 2021 in connection with the behavior of the supporters during the match on May 5 (throwing objects on the field and lighting flares).
Marseille is punished with a conditional closure of the stadium for a match under the aegis of UEFA with a trial period of two years, and will also have to pay a fine of 40,000 euros.
The German “Eintracht” was also punished with the conditional closure of the arena for one match and a fine of 80,000 euros for inappropriate behavior by the public during the second leg of the Europa League semi-final with the English “West Ham” (1: 0) , which took place on May 5 in Germany.
