More than 200 million rubles have been spent to bring the Fakela stadium into line with RFU requirements

More than 200 million rubles were spent to eliminate Russian Football Union (RFU) comments on the Voronezh stadium “Torches” who is set to play in the Russian Premier League (RPL) next season, reports Metaratings.ru.

As noted, the money was also spent on the purchase of necessary equipment for the arena.

The Voronezh club received a temporary license from the RFU to participate in the RPL due to the stadium’s incompatibility with the regulations. On Wednesday, the RPL commission visited the stadium, the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, assured that all work on the arena will be completed on time.

Fakel finished second in the National Football League (FNL) last season and earned the right to play in the RPL.
