The Blue-Yellows did not advance to Division IIB
Women’s national ice hockey team of Ukraine outplayed Lithuania in the final match World Championship 2023 in division IIIA in Romanian Brasov – 2:1.
The first period ended without goals. In the second 20 minutes, the blue-yellows took the lead thanks to Zagrekova’s efforts. At the end of the match, the teams exchanged pucks between Petrauskaite and Tsenova.
In the first round, the Ukrainian team defeated Romania (4:0). In the second match, the Ukrainians lost to Hong Kong (1:2). Also, the blue-yellows defeated Estonia (5:0) and Bulgaria (10:3).
The Ukrainian national team with 12 points took second place in Division IIIA. The promotion in the class was obtained by the Hong Kong team, which advanced to Division IIB.
