English club wants to raise funds to help Ukraine
Everton proposed Dynamo hold a charity match at Goodison Park.
Everton President Farhad Moshiri motivated his proposal with a desire to help Ukraine, which is 106 days old against a full-scale Russian invasion.
“We cannot forget about the atrocities that take place every day in Ukraine. The reaction of the fans, the players, the management of Everton and their support for Vitaliy Mikolenko, his country and the people who are suffering from this inhuman attack, was sincere and truly amazing,” Moshiri said in a letter to Everton fans.
“Our club has already made an important contribution and I can confirm that we offered Dynamo Kyiv to play a friendly match at Goodison Park to raise additional funds in support of the Ukrainians. Details will be coming soon.”
In the spring, Dynamo held a series of charity matches in support of Ukraine. In particular, the people of Kiev defeated Borussia Dortmund (3:2) at Signal Iduna Park.
