Dmitry Ulyanov appointed to the position of general manager of the football club “Khimki” according to the team’s press office.
Ulyanov replaced Vladimir Gabulov, who left the post on May 5. As learned, Gabulov left the club for family reasons.
Ulyanov has worked for Khimki since February 2018. Prior to his appointment, he headed the Red-Blacks’ selection department, and since January 2020 he has been the club’s sporting director.
Ulyanov is 51 years old, he played for Moscow “Torpedo”, CSKA, Spanish “Racing”, several Israeli clubs. After finishing his playing career, he worked as a coach in Russian national teams of different ages.
Khimki last season took 13th place in the RPL and, following the results of the play-offs with SKA-Khabarovsk, retained his registration in the elite division of Russian football.
