Winnipeg beat Minnesota in regular season game National Hockey League (NHL)securing a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

In the East Pittsburgh lost Chicago, thereby securing a playoff run for Florida. The Penguins continue to claim the last passable spot in the Eastern Conference, but are one point behind the Islanders.
