Bayern stop fighting in the Champions League
Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel commented replay 1/4 finals of the Champions League With Manchester city (1:1).
“I think we had Man City on the hook again, even more than in Manchester. But, just like last week, we didn’t have the moment of luck it takes to turn the tide. I’m very happy with how we performed.”
“I am very pleased with the style of our game today. We played against the best team in all of Europe, but we were on an equal footing with them. The season continues and now it’s about the Bundesliga title.”
“There was a difference in self-confidence and in our capabilities. Due to several chances that we missed in both matches, we were punished. I don’t think there was a draw today.”
Recall that Man City won the first match – 3:0. At the end of the meeting in Munich, Tuchel received a red card.
In the semi-finals of the 2022/23 Champions League, the Citizens will play with Real Madrid. Milan and Inter made up the second semi-final pair.
