Least of all will receive the poorest club of the stage – Benfica, and Napoli bypassed both Milan clubs
The income of the clubs participating in the 1/4 finals of the Champions League has become known. The eight teams that make it to this stage of the tournament will receive a total of almost 716 million euros from UEFA. Two of the eight clubs, Real Madrid and Manchester City, have passed the €100 million mark. And the poorest of the clubs at this stage, Benfica, will receive the least. Let’s talk in more detail.
General income
Payments to clubs consist of several parts: getting into the group stage of the Champions League, prize money for playing in the group and reaching each of the playoff stages, UEFA payment for the club coefficient, marketing payments.
Most of the quarter-finalists earned Real Madrid 109.6 million euros. In second place in terms of income is Manchester City – 103.14 million. Bavaria closes the top three, almost reaching 100 million euros – 99.93 million.
Next is Chelsea – 97.2 million, followed by, surprisingly, Napoli, who bypassed the two Milan clubs – 79.64 million. Milan has already earned 77.79 million in the Champions League, Inter 75.65. Least of all from UEFA will receive Benfica – 72.94 million.
results
All eight clubs received fixed amounts on three occasions. Getting into the Champions League group – 15.64 million. Reaching the 1/8 finals – 9.05 million, reaching the quarter-finals – 10.6 million. But the indicators in the groups are different.
Bayern will receive the most income from this item of income, having won all six matches of the group stage – 17.31 million. In second place is Manchester City – 15.72 million, in third – Napoli – 14 million.
Odds and marketing payouts
Here, Real Madrid is out of competition, having received a total of almost 60 million euros. The Creamy have the highest club odds payouts of 36.38 million. In second place is Manchester City: the Citizens received a total of 51.58 million, although they are seriously inferior to Real Madrid in terms of the club coefficient. Chelsea is third with 47.9 million. The Blues are not far ahead of Bayern (46.69 million) due to better marketing payouts.
It is noteworthy that Benfica also received the least income from this item of income: despite the high club coefficient, the Eagles have a low marketing attractiveness.
