The Donetsk club has acquired another player from South America.
Shakhtar is back in the South American transfer market. If before the war the Donetsk team was only interested in Brazilian representatives, now the team is buying players from other countries.
This time, the Pitmen announced on their official website the signing of a contract with midfielder Daniel Castillo. Thus, the player will be the first representative of Ecuador in the history of Shakhtar.
The Orange-and-Blacks have agreed to the transfer of a 19-year-old player from the Ecuador youth national team from LDU Quito (Ecuador). The contract will run until the summer of 2028.
It should be noted that Castillo has played for the youth and reserve teams of LDU Kyoto since the age of 16, and in the 2022 season he played 15 matches in the championship (U20) and in the Libertadores Cup (U20).
Castillo made his debut for the Ecuador youth team on June 8, 2022. So far, he has 17 matches on his account. He also participated in the South American Championship (U20) held in 2023.
Let’s remind, earlier “miners” got themselves the midfielder of the national team of Tajikistan U-20.
