The Argentine may leave PSG this summer
Director of Barcelona Mateu Alemany denied contacts of the club with striker PSG Lionel Messi.
“We didn’t have any contact with Messi. He really enjoys coming to Barcelona – as usual, he was here for a few days, but we didn’t talk.”
Earlier there was information that Barcelona is working on the first official proposal for Messi. The Catalan club are looking to sign the Argentine as a free agent in July. Messi played for Barcelona from 2003 to 2021.
Recall that Messi is considering the option of moving to Al-Hilal. The club from Saudi Arabia offered the Argentinean a salary of more than 400 million euros per year. Contract renewal talks between Messi and PSG are at an impasse.
Messi has made 36 appearances for PSG in all competitions this season. On account of the Argentine – 20 goals and 19 assists.
PSG are top of Ligue 1. Barcelona are also top of the Spanish league.
