Sergi Roberto, winner of 23 Barcelona titles, has extended his contract with the club

Spanish “Barcelona announced the extension of the contract with the midfielder Serge Roberto until June 30, 2023, according to the team’s press office.

The amount of compensation is 400 million euros.

“Javi told me to leave the injury behind and get the surgery, and from the start he trusted me. I will reward him with results on the pitch. I have spent half my life in this club and I hope to enjoy it again and bring joy back to the fans,” said Roberto.

Former Barcelona player Sergi Roberto made his Santiago Bernabéu debut in the first leg of the 2010/11 Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

Since then, Roberto has won a total of 23 titles with Barcelona: two Champions Leagues, six Spanish Championships, six Cups, five Spanish Super Cups, two European Super Cups and two Club World Cups. He played a total of 316 official matches for the club, scoring 12 goals and providing 37 assists.

Now 30, Sergi Roberto is the team’s third captain.
