Since the beginning of the campaign, 7,000 applications have been received, but 5,500 children have passed by age and registration rules
Favbet Foundation volunteers visited IDP children and military personnel in the village of Blystavitsa in the Kyiv region. A team of philanthropists arranged a holiday for the children and handed over the first stationery sets as part of the Power in Knowledge project, a large-scale program of the foundation called Superheroes Club.
Under the terms of the project, the Favbet Foundation will donate 5,500 stationery sets to the children of internally displaced persons and Ukrainian defenders. The collection of applications was carried out in just a few days, and now the fund is working to ensure that all children receive their gifts faster. The first 500 sets have already found their owners, and in the near future the boxes with the office will come to all those who have left the application.
Since the beginning of the campaign, 7,000 applications have been received, but 5,500 children have passed by age and registration rules.
“Over this year, we have seen and felt what an abyss separates Ukrainians and Russians. While our neighbor is sinking deeper into the gray swamp, we strive to develop and support each other even in the most difficult times. The idea of the “Superheroes Club” from Favbet Foundation is to provide as many young Ukrainians as possible with the opportunity to build a free and successful future, which the aggressor is unsuccessfully trying to deprive them of”— said Evgeniy Bondar, project curator of the Favbet Foundation.
Each stationery box contains everything that schoolchildren may need for learning and creativity – paints, plasticine, multi-colored pens and pencils, sketchbooks, notebooks and much more. Especially for the project, the Favbet Foundation also developed bright illustrations with superheroes that decorate all sets and inspire children to new achievements.
In addition to the Power in Knowledge project, the Superheroes Club also has the Stronger Together and IT Kids directions. The first project gives children affected by the war the opportunity to systematically go in for sports, the second – educational courses in the field of IT for children from families of IDPs and military personnel.
As part of the IT Kids Favbet Foundation, together with Code Club Ukraine, they have already launched a free basic IT education program, which today teaches the Python programming language to more than 350 students. There is also a recruitment for sports sections “Stronger Together”, which the foundation organizes in partnership with the Center for Physical Health of the Population “Sport for All” and the SpartaBox Fight Club.
Announcements of new training groups and sections can always be found on the foundation’s page in Facebook.
Favbet Foundation is a charitable foundation founded in 2020 to develop sports and educational infrastructure for Ukrainian children. With the start of a full-scale invasion, the fund refocused more than 90% of its projects on the provision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and support for Ukrainians affected by the war.
