David Beckham reveals how he copes with obsessive-compulsive disorder

Former Manchester United and England captain David Beckham in an episode of the documentary series about him, he talked about how obsessive-compulsive disorder affects his life.

According to the ex-Real Madrid player, he can spend several hours at night putting the house in order.

I clean (at home) so well, to be honest, I don’t know if my wife really enjoys it that much. When everyone is already in bed, I go around, clean the candles, turn on the light at the right level, check if everything is in order.

I hate coming down in the morning and seeing cups and plates and, you know, bowls left there. It’s tiring to go around each candle, to clean it. I cut the wax from the candle, clean the glass. Those prints inside the candle are my favorite obsession. I know it’s strange, — quotes the words of Beckham Daily Mail.

David Beckham and his wife Victoria live in a £25million mansion in Holland Park, London. The family bought the house in 2013 and it has eight bathrooms, seven bedrooms, a gym and a spa.

People with obsessive-compulsive disorder usually involuntarily develop intrusive thoughts and tedious activities called compulsions.

Last July, the famous streaming service announced that a documentary series on Beckham was in the works, including never-before-seen archive footage, as well as interviews with the footballer.
