The forward of Dnipro-1 has eight matches to surpass the “eternal” achievement of the championships of Ukraine
Artem Dovbik scored a goal already in the fifth match of the Ukrainian championship in a row. On Saturday, April 29, the forward of Dnipro-1 scored a goal from the penalty spot in the match of the 23rd round against Ingulets. Now the striker has 20 goals in the current championship. After the break, Artem’s performance is impressive: Dovbik scored nine goals in eight matches: an average of 1.1 goals per game. In general, in the championship – 20 goals in 22 matches, on average – 0.9 goals per match.
The closest pursuers of Dovbik in the dispute between the best snipers of the championships – Dynamo midfielder Vitaly Buyalsky and Vorskla forward Taulyan Seferi – are nine goals behind. Artem needs to score six more goals to surpass the “eternal” record of Ukrainian Championship goals set by Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 2012/2013 season – 25 goals.
The Dnipros have eight matches left to play. “Home” Dnipro-1 will play with Metalist (24th round), Kolos (27th round), Vorskla (28th round), Kryvbas (30th round) and finish the postponed match with Alexandria. Dnipro’s rivals in away matches are Chernomorets (round 25), Minai (round 26), Shakhtar (round 29).
In the current championship, the Dnipro-1 forward has already scored against nine clubs. Dovbik has four goals each for Metallist 1925 and Zorya, three goals each for Lvov and Kolos, two goals for Rukh, a goal each for Shakhtar, Kryvbas, Oleksandriya and Ingulets.
At the same time, Dovbik, with a score of 20 goals, has already surpassed the results of 16 players who became the best UPL snipers in different seasons.

If Mkhitaryan’s performance is the end of the championship, then in the near future Dovbik can beat the performance of ten players at once, who became the best snipers of the Ukrainian championship in different seasons. Actually, Artem has already repeated the results of four of them. The indicators of Avakov, Voroby and Ferreira can be repeated by Dovbik in the next round.
