Timothy Bradley: Lomachenko is very underrated against Haney. He doesn’t have two bad fights in a row.

After an unconvincing victory over Ortiz, Vasily should show strong boxing against Haney

Former two division champion Timothy Bradley commented on the upcoming fight of the undisputed lightweight champion Devina Haney against ex-champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko.

“Lomachenko is very underrated in this fight. When he shows a bad result, he always comes back with revenge. When Salido lost, he returned with dominance over Russell Jr. Then there was a bad fight with Teofimo, but he came back with dominance over Nakatani. The last fight was not a very good performance against Ortiz, so Lomachenko is going to come back.”

“Lomachenko will try to expose Haney’s weaknesses in the last rounds. Haney is a great middle and outside boxer. He’s great. He has fast, long arms, a great jab, he’s a great counterpuncher, but what he lacks is the ability to fight at close range.”

The fight between Lomachenko and Haney will take place on May 20 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden and will be broadcast on the PPV system on ESPN+.

Lomachenko defeated American Jemaine Ortiz in his last fight. For the Ukrainian, this was the first and only fight for 10 months.

Haney defeated George Kambosos again last October to retain the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles.
