Latvians won the third match in a row in group 1
Latvia away won Moldova (4:2) in the match of the 3rd round of group 1 of division “D” League of Nations.
The Moldovan team took the lead already in the 5th minute of the meeting – Ion Nicolaescu converted a penalty. In the middle of the first half, Latvia responded with two accurate shots from Vladislav Gutkovskis and Janis Ikaunieks.
After the break, Gutkovskis and Ikaunieks scored another goal each. In the composition of Moldova, Nikita Motpan was noted.
In the second match of group 1 Andorra beat in his field Liechtenstein (2:1) thanks to goals from Jordi Alaez and Jesús Rubio.
In the next round on June 14, Latvia will play away against Liechtenstein, and Moldova will host Andorra at home.
