Last season, the Kiev club became the winner of the championship of Ukraine
Budivelnik head coach Dmitry Zabirchenko commented on the participation of the club next season.
“Yes, the team will exist. But in what format and where it will play is still unknown. Budivelnik will definitely play in the Ukrainian championship. And then we will look at the circumstances.
“It is not yet known whether there will be two squads again – “legionary” and “Ukrainian”, as it was this season.”
“Now I set myself goals – to develop with Budivelnik. I would like to participate in European competitions. If they are not, then still win with the team in the championship of Ukraine. Every year I will set myself new goals and rise higher. Hopefully, together with Budivelnik”
Zabirchenko, who won gold with Budivelnyk this season of the Superleague, has been officially appointed as the head coach of the youth team (U-20) of Ukraine in basketball.
Recall that in March Budivelnik withdrew from participation in the Balkan League (BIBL) due to lack of funding.
Budivelnik left the European Northern Basketball League last season, losing in the quarterfinals to the Wolves on aggregate. Also, the people of Kiev dropped out of the FIBA Europe Cup, losing to Cholet.
