Former Spartak player Dmitri Alenishev said the youth of the red-white players was a key factor in the victory over Dynamo Stalingrad in the Pobeda retro game.
The meeting between Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Stalingrad took place in Volgograd at the 2018 World Cup stadium and ended with the score 2-0 in favor of the Red-Whites. The goals were scored by Roman Pavlyuchenko (51st minute) and Alexander Samedov (59th).
– I was very impressed with the atmosphere at the stadium. In the first half, we failed to score. In my opinion, they wanted to get the ball into the goal. Changes were made during the break. Regular result. I think we were stronger on the pitch than the local players. But we must not upset them, football won today. Perhaps the youth played a key role, – Alenichev said on .
In this game, star players of Spartak, Rotor and Dynamo Moscow re-enacted the match between Dynamo Stalingrad and Spartak Moscow in 1943. The match was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.
