Samedov: “Unexpectedly, the fans insulted Pavlyuchenko after the goal. It’s irrelevant for a retro game”

Former Spartak midfielder Alexander Samedov told he was very surprised that the striker Romana Pavlyuchenko after a goal in a retro game, Pobeda was insulted by Volgograd fans.

The meeting between Spartak Moscow and Dynamo Stalingrad took place in Volgograd at the 2018 World Cup stadium and ended with the score 2-0 in favor of the Red-Whites. The goals were scored by Roman Pavlyuchenko (51st minute) and Alexander Samedov (59th). After Pavlyuchenko’s goal, fans used foul language against the player.

You look very happy after the final whistle…

“I am happy that the vacation was a success. It is always a pleasure to participate in such matches. Glad we won.

– The score is 2:0, although you and your opponents could have scored more…

— Yes, we and them created chances, the game turned out to be a double-edged sword.

Did everyone enjoy it?

– Our team has definitely understood, the atmosphere at the stadium is incredible. Long-forgotten feelings came back to me.

– Can RPL envy?

– If the players watched, then it is quite possible that they were jealous.

– What are your plans for the future? A game with the Wings in early June?

— Yes, from what I heard, there will be a match in Samara.

– Pavlyuchenko was insulted by Volgograd fans after his goal, did they act ugly?

— Unexpectedly, I didn’t hear it. It is irrelevant to insult someone in such a match. It’s a holiday for the fans in the first place.

– You don’t expect that in Samara?

Now I don’t know (laughs). Still, I spent a little less time in Samara than Roma Pavlyuchenko in Volgograd.

How will you celebrate your victory?

– It’s a secret! Samedov told .

In this game, star players of Spartak, Rotor and Dynamo Moscow re-enacted the match between Dynamo Stalingrad and Spartak Moscow in 1943. The match was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.
