League A

England – Italy – 0:0

In the third group of League A, a meeting of the finalists of the last European Championship took place. Another game fans got to see last summer at the European Championship. There, Hungary unexpectedly ran into a game with a fairly strong Germany and gave a draw. In this League of Nations, the Hungarians are also more than pretty.

Already in the 6th minute, Nagy opened the scoring in the game and the Germans for the second time in three rounds found themselves in the catch-up role. As in the match against Italy, Germany reacted very quickly. Jonas Hoffman has scored the sophomore in the last two games. After that, the game took a rather monotonous course. The Germans lacked the ingenuity of someone else’s free kick, and Hungary rarely launched very good attacks. Nagy and Hoffman’s goals were the only goals of the match.

While Hansi Flick’s team is busier with experiments, but that’s not critical. The Germans finished all their Nations League matches with the same score – 1:1. The Hungarians after the victory over England continue to surprise and occupy the second place in the group.

Netherlands – Poland – 2:2

The funniest match of the day took place in the Netherlands. The local team led by Louis van Gaal shows very brilliant and powerful football. The Dutch are quite capable of surprising any opponent.

In the game against Poland, they started by surprising their own fans. Polish right-back Matty Cash already scored in the 18th minute and it was the only blow for the Polish national team in the entire second half. And at the very beginning of the second half of the game, the situation became critical, as Zielinski doubled his team’s lead. The Dutch, however, were not at all bothered by this line-up and they piled up on the guest gates. Less than 5 minutes from Zieliński’s goal, the Netherlands responded. Wales – Belgium – 1:1

Belgium holds a rather weak tournament and doesn’t bother much in the Nations League matches. The real Belgian national team only lit up in the second round game and demolished Poland with a score of 6:1.

In the game against Wales, things could play out under a similar scenario. The Welsh gave the ball away and went into a deep defense but that didn’t stop them from slamming dangerously. Already in the 5th minute, Wales scored, but the goal was canceled for offside. Belgium tried to break through an overstretched defense and did so early in the second half through the efforts of Youri Tielemans. Wales did not hesitate and showed that when needed they can organize good attacks. As a result, 5 minutes from the end of regulation time, Brennan Johnson, who came on as a substitute, leveled the score and established the final score of the game.

Belgium is in second place, just behind the Netherlands. Wales have the first point in this Nations League.

League B

Ukraine – Armenia – 3:0
Ireland 3-0 Scotland

In the first group of League B, Ukraine and Scotland faced their rivals without problems. Ukraine failed to break down the Armenian team’s defense in the first 45 minutes, but scored three unanswered goals in the second half. Distinguished Malinovsky, Karavaev and Mikolenko. This is the second victory of the Ukrainians in the League of Nations. With 6 points and a goal difference of 4-0, they are in first place.

Montenegro – Bosnia – 1:1

In the third group, Romania beat Finland with difficulty at home. The hosts could already open an account after 15 minutes, but Puskas didn’t convert from a penalty. Luxembourg – Turkey – 0:2

In League C, the Faroe Islands secured their first victory in the tournament. The Lithuanians opened the scoring with Cherny’s efforts in the 6th minute, but even before the break the islanders leveled the score and took the lead – Davidsen and Andreasen came out on top. No goals were scored in the second half.

In a parallel match, Turkey faced Luxembourg without any problems – 2:0. Chalkanoglu and Dursun scored. The Turks after three matches with a 12-0 difference in first place. Luxembourg is second.
