The meeting of the UAF FTC regarding the period of disqualification of the goalkeeper will be held on May 4
Goalkeeper Metallurg Nazar Baida wrote explanatory letter to the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association. The goalkeeper apologized for his behavior in the match with Epicenter (2:1), in which he earned a red card.
“I want to apologize for my behavior and the unfortunate incident that occurred in the 61st minute of the match. I pushed a player from the opposing team, as a result of which the referee sent me off. My behavior was indeed incorrect and impolite. For this I want to apologize to my teammates, our fans and the player of the opposing team. I would very much like to personally attend the meeting in order to explain in detail all the details of this incident, ”the goalkeeper wrote.
Earlier, Metallurg appealed to the FTC with a request to cancel Bayda’s red card. The team notes that “the goalkeeper’s unrestrained actions were provoked by a player from the opposing team.”
The meeting of the FTC will take place on May 4. It will decide on the number of Bayda’s suspension matches.
Metallurg takes the fifth place in the Championship group of the First League. In the next match, Zaporizhia will play Polesie on May 6.
