British police have arrested a fan who shone a laser pointer at Chelsea midfielder Mikhail Mudrik’s face during the English Premier League game against Arsenal.
The match of the 34th day of the Premier League, played on May 2 at the Emirates Arena, ended with the score of 3-1 in favor of the Gunners. Earlier, Mudryk posted a picture on social media, which shows how he was blinded by a laser pointer during the game.
– An arrest was made after using a laser pointer in a game. This behavior is dangerous and completely unacceptable. We will fully support the police in their investigations and take appropriate action,” Arsenal said in a statement quoted by goal.com.
Arsenal top the Premier League table with 78 points, while Chelsea are 12th with 39 points.
