On social media, Palmeiras paid tribute to Gustavo Magliocca, the club’s medical coordinator: “He left a legacy of love”
This Wednesday, 03, the palm trees used social networks to communicate the death of the club’s medical coordinator, Dr. Gustavo Magliocca. Ten years ago in the São Paulo team, he had been battling brain cancer since March 2022.
Recently, the board of directors and the professional squad of the club paid tribute to Gustavo: Palmeiras named the Núcleo de Saúde e Performance with the name of Magliocca.

In February, before the 2-0 victory over Inter de Limeiraalviverde celebrated the doctor’s birthday with all the players profiled for the photo wearing a shirt with the number 42, personalized with the name of Gustavo Magliocca.
“More than a great professional, today we say goodbye to a great friend who turned loyalty into a standard and left a legacy of love for the club that will last forever in our hearts”wrote Palmeiras.
