On Thursday, Russian football veterans laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden and paid tribute to those who died during the Great Patriotic War, a correspondent reports.
Besides the football veterans, Honorary President of the Russian Football Union Vyacheslav Koloskov and Russian Premier League (RPL) chief Alexander Alaev were among those taking part in the action.
Previously, a tournament was held at the Spartak Academy named after Fedor Cherenkov, in which the team of the Union of Russian Veterans won.
