The decision to hold the game in Lviv was made personally by the president of the club
President Ingulets Alexander Povoroznyuk commented on the match of his team against Shakhtar in the 26th round of the UPL in Lviv.
“It will indeed be so, because I have decided so. I am the person who finances the club. I think so – and so it will be. And if someone is already very interested, then there are subjective reasons for this. I even want to explain it, I’m not afraid. We have 2 buses, one of which has really problems with the gearbox. It can be made only in Lviv. To do it, you have to go, leave the bus for at least a week. So we ourselves asked the miner to come to Rukh, leave the bus, and live there for a week. It will be repaired – and we will calmly go home. If they don’t fix it, we’ll take the train. It’s such a decision.”
“What is the difference? Dnepr-1 called us on the phone and asked us to come to Uzhgorod. If it were there in Lvov, we agreed with Dnepr-1 if he went to meet us. We asked the miner.”
“Why don’t you say how Dnepr-1 won against us? Then it means that we middle-class players of the UPL do not care where to go. We’ll go there – they’ll kill us. We arrived home – we were nailed. Why don’t you say how Ivanov judged? There is partiality, and there is just a mistake. When there is no consistency, it is partiality. Why didn’t they put a penalty at the gates of Dnepr-1 and then looked at what would happen next, but put it in ours?
“Why don’t you talk about something else? Searching somewhere, but running away from the main problem. Why was the goal not credited to Minai yesterday? And you run around looking for something there. I am the person who finances the club. And as I see fit, so be it. To remove this, do not go far, but take a decision at the UPL and UAF level that it is taboo – there can be no agreements between the teams, there are no Lviv, Kiev, Uzhgorod. There is no solution, which means that the two presidents have the option of agreeing to play there or there. Once again I say – the initiative was from me. I asked so because it is so profitable for me.
“You all talked about Dynamo, that Povoroznyuk agreed with the Surkis. We arrived in Kyiv, slapped them and left. I think that all questions will be closed when we arrive in Lvov, shake up Shakhtar and go to Petrovo. Or what are you worried about? The match between Shakhtar and Ingulets was originally scheduled at the stadium in Petrovo. However, the clubs agreed to hold a meeting at the Arena-Lviv. It should be noted that before this game, the team of Serhiy Kovalets will play in Lviv with Rukh and will stay in the “city of Leva” for five days before the confrontation with Shakhtar
At the same time, Ingulets refused Dnepr-1 in a similar request to move the meeting to Western Ukraine. The meeting took place in Petrovo, where the team of Oleksandr Kucher got a victory with a score of 2:0.
In the standings of the championship of Ukraine, Inhulets is in 10th place.
