Conversations for the purchase of 90% of SAF in Bahia took place through businessman Paulo Pitombeira. The negotiation was approved by the partners since the 3rd of December last year. According to information from “Globo Esporte”, the group participated directly in the assembly of the current cast of Tricolor. Grupo City also owns teams from Spain, Uruguay and France.

The agreement between Bahia and Grupo City is for 90 years, renewable for additional periods. The deal foresees a minimum of BRL 500 million for the purchase of players, BRL 300 million for the payment of debts and BRL 200 million for infrastructure for other categories.
