Citizens with Blancos will play the first match of the Champions League semi-finals today, May 9
Head coach Manchester City Josep Guardiola commented on the forthcoming first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.
“Seven years ago we wanted to win the Champions League. Yes, we are here again. Stability is the most important thing. The important thing is that we try to get better every year. We have the same coach, basically the same players, but completely different games. The difference is that the second leg will be at home.”
“We arrived here inspired. We play really well. We are not here for revenge. [Реалу], for us it’s just another opportunity. One day we will win the Champions League. We came here this season to do it. It didn’t happen last year because we played Real Madrid in this competition.”
The match between Real Madrid and Manchester City will take place on May 9 in Madrid, at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. The start is at 22:00. The meeting will be judged by the Portuguese team of referees, led by Artur Dias.
The return game in Manchester will take place on 17 May.
