Nerazzurri head coach happy with his team
Head coach Inter Simone Inzaghi satisfied with the performance of his team in the first semi-final Champions League with Milan (2:0).
“I am very glad. We had an extraordinary first half. We could have scored more than two goals, but it was a great match. We know we still have a lot of work to do before we start dreaming.”
“The guys played with their hearts and heads, covering every part of the pitch. Even those who came on as replacements made their contribution. We’re happy, but we’re still missing a piece.”
“In 72 hours we have a very important match against Sassuolo in Serie A. We will have to restore both physical and mental energy, because you spend a lot in these matches.”
Inter got the upper hand in the first half. Within three minutes, the Nerazzurri scored two scoring attacks, which were completed by Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The second leg of the two Italian teams will be held next week. The meeting at the Giuseppe Meazza will take place on May 16.
