The Association of Sports Journalists named the best players in the English Premier League.

Erling Haaland was voted Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers’ Association. At the same time, the 22-year-old Norwegian, traditionally for this season, set a record.

The Manchester City striker received 82% of the vote, ahead of Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, according to Sky Sports. Note – this percentage is the largest since the beginning of the English Premier League era.

Chelsea striker Sam Kerr was named England’s Female Player of the Year.

Players will receive their rewards at a special 75th Anniversary Dinner on May 25 in London.

Note that Haaland this season took part in 47 matches in all competitions, where he scored 51 goals and 8 assists.

Recall that in a recent game against West Ham, the Norwegian became the absolute record holder for the number of goals in a season in the Premier League.
